Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Shillong

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport or railway station, begin your journey to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, often referred to as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, visit the picturesque Umiam Lake, a serene spot surrounded by lush hills, perfect for a quick photo stop. Check into your hotel in Shillong and spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the local markets or relaxing. Overnight stay in Shillong.
 

Day 2: Shillong local sightseeing

After breakfast full day exploration of Shillong, visit Cathedral church, Don Bosco museum, Golf course, Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park. Post evening visit the famous Police bazar (The centre point of Shillong) for shopping. Return to the hotel & overnight stay at Shillong.
 

Day 3: Shillong to Cherapunjee

Today after breakfast we will drive to Cherapunjee, the wettest place on earth, enroute we will see Elephant falls, Shillong Peak ( Subjected to permission by Indian Airforce), enroute lunch at THE ROOTS, visit Nokalikai Falls, Mawsimai cave, Monolith park, Seven sister falls. Evening return to the resort. Dinner & Overnight stay.
 

Day 4: Dawki and Mawlynnong

After breakfast, leave for Mawlynnong , a tiny village on the Indo Bangla border, which has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in Asia. On the way, we will visit the Dawki , a small border town located on Jaintia Hills and is famous for river Umngot. The river with its greenish-bluish water, is so clear that one can see the bottom of the river even from as high as the bridge over the river. Enjoy boating on the crystal clear water of the lake where one will feel like floating over a big aquarium. Dawki, also known as Tamabil, is the border of the Countries of India and Bangladesh and an important trade route. It gives you an opportunity to reach the famous Pillar numbered 1275 that marks the International Border. We will continue to travel towards Mawlynnong, God's own garden. Villagers have transformed this village into a picture postcard by planting many flowering plants alongside the footpaths and around their houses. Every villager participates in voluntarily cleaning up the village on a daily basis. In this picturesque village, we shall walk for about 20-30 mins on hilly slope to reach Living root bridge. The roots of two huge trees have gotten intertwined, spanning across the river to form the bridge. In the afternoon, drive back to Cherapunjee and post dinner enter into your dream world.
 

Day 5: Cherrapunjee to Umium Lake

Today after breakfast visit the sacred forest Mawflong (Subjected to accessibility during that time) then we will proceed towards Umium Lake also known as Barapanisurrounded by coniferous forests and stretcheing over an area of about 221 square kilometres which is four times the size of San Marino or Bermuda. Evening enjoy the serenity by the lake. Dinner & overnight stay at Barapani.
 

Day 6: Barapani to Guwahati

Today post breakfast we will drive down to Guwahati. Upon arrival proceed towards Kamakhya Temple, one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas, situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati. It is an important pilgrimage destination for Hindu and especially for Tantric worshipers. In the evening we would go for a Brahmaputra river cruise. Later in the evening proceed to hotel at Guwahati and check in. Enjoy your sumptuous meal and sleep gently in tranquil land.
 

Day 7: Departure from Guwahati

As you come out of your dream world and the fresh morning breeze promise you another wonderful day post breakfast, we shall proceed towards the airport to fly back home carrying the good memories of this journey in our hearts.
